Covering Dallas County: Troopers release new info on weekend's fatal hit and run

Selma, Ala. (WSFA) -- State troopers have released new information about a fatal hit and run accident near Selma.

The crash happened Saturday, April 18th at the intersection of Highway 219 and County Road 28.

Investigators say 1998 Ford Escort failed to yield to a tractor-trailer and 3 Georgia residents were killed.

Troopers are still looking for the truck driver and now say, he may not even know the accident happened.

"The vehicle at the scene is going to be a commercial type vehicle and it should have damage to the undercarriage and it may have blue paint transfer under the vehicle," said Cpl. Steve Jarrett with the Department of Public Safety.
