Montgomery bank robbed

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Investigators are on the scene of a Montgomery bank robbery at this hour. The robbery happened at 2:04pm at the BBVA Compass Bank location on the East Boulevard at Vaughn Road.

The male suspect, discribed as 50 to 55 years of age and approximately 5'9" and 240lbs, walked into the bank, demanded money and ran from the building on foot.

It wasn't immediately known in which direction he ran.

Investigators say no weapon was shown in the crime and no one was hurt, but witnesses reported the man did make threats of violence during the crime if his demands were not met.
