Headland Police Officer's Funeral Set

Headland, AL (WSFA) - The visitation for a fallen Headland police officer was held on Monday night.  Fellow officers, friends and family came to the Eufaula Community Center for the visitation of officer Dexter Hammond.

Police say he was shot and killed Friday night while responding to calls of a man shooting a gun into the air. Hammond's funeral is at 11a.m. at the community center on Tuesday.

Deputy Ted Yost was also shot. He remains in critical condition.

The suspect, Fred Davis was shot and killed.
