DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) - The Rev. Al Sharpton will visit Alabama this weekend.
The New York City-based minister will be the keynote speaker at The Ordinary People Society Celebration Banquet in Dothan.
Sharpton, a 2004 presidential candidate and civil rights activist, will speak Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Holiday Inn South.
Organizers said national SCLC president Dr. Byron Clay and Ed Vaughn, president of the Alabama Chapter of the NAACP, are also expected to attend the event.
