UPDATED WITH NEW PHONE AND EMAIL INFORMATION
MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The Montgomery County Emergency Management Agency says anyone who had home damage in Thursday's flooding and currently has flood insurance should contact them by phone or email with their address and a discription of their sustained damage.
The city had requested FEMA send a post disaster assessment team to the capital city and that request has now been approved. FEMA will open a Joint Field Office to take requests from victims in the next few days.
Those who suffered damage and don't currently have flood insurance need to get pictures of the damage, get estimates and have their numbers together.
They can then call 240-4636 or 311 starting at 8:30am Friday to report it to the Montgomery EMA.
