MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Montgomery police are naming a suspect in the city's 15th homicide of 2009. Investigators say they are looking for 30-year-old Eddie Bowman Jr. on murder and attempted murder charges after one of the victims positively identified him as the shooter.
Police responded to the shooting around 4am Wednesday at the Peddlers Inn on the W. South Boulevard where two people had been shot.
One victim, now identified as Gorman Thornton, survived the shooting and pointed the finger at Bowman. Another person, 32-year-old Joel Warren, was killed in the incident.
Investigators believe Bowman and the victims had been arguing and the fight turned physical.
Police are asking anyone with information on Bowman's whereabouts to call the police.
His photo has not been released to the public, however, pending a photographic line-up.
WSFA 12 News will have more information as soon as it becomes available.
