Montgomery, Ala. (WSFA) -- One man is dead, another seriously wounded after a shooting on south of Boulevard in Montgomery.
Officers hadn't even left the scene Sunday night when the suspect in the shooting, twenty-seven year old Lonnie Hill, called the police department to turn himself in.
When officers arrived, they found twenty-eight year old Nicolos Fitzpatrick lying on his driveway with multiple gunshot wounds. They say another person also suffered gunshot wounds to the leg.
Officials transported both men to Baptist South. Fitzpatrick died shortly after.
Police took the suspect, Lonnie Hill into custody late Sunday night. Authorities are charging Hill with murder and second degree assault. He is being held in the Montgomery county jail under a $90,000 bond.
This marks the city of Montgomery's 16th murder of the year.
