Broad daylight shooting sends teen to hospital

Montgomery, Ala. (WSFA) -- Montgomery police are searching for a gunman who opened fire on a teenager in broad daylight.

The shooting happened around 12:30 in the 300 block of East Park Avenue. When police arrived on the scene, they found a 16 year old male shot once in the chest.

"It happened in the front yard, the suspect pulled up in a brown vehicle and got out and approached the victim. There may or may not have been some type of dialog and then the subject pulled a hand gun and shot the victim," said Captain Keith Barnett.

The victim was immediately transported to Jackson hospital, he is now listed in stable condition.

Investigators also say this was not a random act.   Police say the shooter was driving a brown Honda Accord.
