MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Alabama's Ten Commandments judge, former Chief Justice Roy Moore, has announced he is running for governor again as a Republican.
Moore made the announcement Monday before supporters in Montgomery.
His campaign Web site - http://www.moore2010.com - went up earlier Monday, inviting supporters to sign a pledge to help elect Moore as governor.
Moore, 62, was ousted as chief justice in 2003 for refusing to obey a federal court order to remove his Ten Commandments monument from the Supreme Court building's rotunda.
He ran for governor in 2006, but lost the Republican primary to incumbent Bob Riley.
Moore joins a growing list of Republicans and Democrats who have announced or are seriously considering a run for the office.
Governor Bob Riley will not be able to run again because of term limits.
