New business comes to Greenville

GREENVILLE, AL (WSFA) - Good economic news out of Greenville today. Mayor Dexter McLendon says Tractor Supply Company is moving into town.

The company is planning to set up shop in the old Winn Dixie building, which has been vacant for years.

McLendon said the building had been under bankruptcy when a developer bought it and signed a lease agreement.

Tractor Supply Co. will occupy approximately 23,000 square feet of the building.

Another 22,000 square feet of space is available for other businesses that wish to locate there.

McLendon said the city's newest business should be open sometime around September or October and will employ around 15 people.
