TALLASSEE, AL (WSFA) - Tallassee police say they've arrested a man who opened fire on one person and then drove down the street to shoot someone else.

Authorities say 64-year-old William Thomas Scott shot the two people in the Carrville community.

The first victim, a 28-year-old male, was located on Davidson Street, the second victim, a 52-year-old male, was found approximately two blocks away on Sims Avenue.

Police Chief James Rodgers told WSFA 12 News the victims' wounds are not life threatening, though the 28-year-old was shot in the face. He was airlifted to a hospital in Montgomery. Neither victims' identity has been released.

Scott was taken into custody a short time later and is being held in the Tallapoosa County Jail. He now faces charges of Attempted Murder and Assault 1st Degree.

Investigators haven't given a motive for the shootings, but confirm the suspect did know the victims.
