Intersection gunfight leaves one dead

Montgomery, Ala. (WSFA) - One man is dead and another is wounded after a Montgomery intersection gunfight.

Authorities say two cars exchanged gunfire near the intersection of the South Boulevard and Narrow Lane Road around 11:15pm Saturday.

After the gunfight the driver of one car drove to Baptist Medical Center South.

Nineteen year olds Terrance Ponder and Steve Arrington had been shot, Ponder critically.

Ponder was shot in the head and back. He was pronounced dead at 10:42am Sunday.

Arrington suffered from non-lifethreatening injuries including a gunshot wound to the thigh. 

Police are looking for a dark, older model SUV in connection with the crime.
