CONECUH CO, AL (WSFA) - The bodies of a missing Augusta, Georgia woman and her estranged husband have been located in Conecuh County.

The bodies of Jessica Murphy and her husband, Scottie, were discovered at a rest stop near Evergreen.

Investigators said Murphy's body was found in the trunk of her vehicle. An initial investigation appears to show strangulation as the cause of death.

The husband was found dead in the driver's seat with a gunshot wound to the head. Authorities believe he killed himself.

Murphy was last seen alive on Saturday. An autopsy is planned.
