UA trustees consider new hoops workout facility

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees is expected to consider a preliminary budget for building a men's basketball practice facility on the Tuscaloosa campus.

The trustees meet on Thursday and Friday.

The new $4.5 million facility money is on the agenda. The board has already approved adding a new scoreboard and side panels for Coleman Coliseum to be in place for Anthony Grant's first season coaching the Crimson Tide.

The trustees are also scheduled to consider approving new scoreboards for UAB's basketball, baseball and softball facilities.
