Montgomery, Ala. (WSFA) -- The Alabama Civil Justice Foundation is lending a hand to children in need.

The ACJF presented a $7,500 grant to Brantwood Children's Home.  Brantwood serves the needs of neglected and abused children through education, health and social adjustment in the community. The grant will help fund general operations.

"We are so thankful for donations that we receive from the community.  This donation from the Alabama Civil Justice Foundation is very important to us in fact without donations like that from others we would not be able to do our jobs," said Brantwood Children's Home president Tom Methvin.

Brantwood Children's Home has been Montgomery's children's home since 1917.
