Dothan, AL (WSFA) -  Several schools in Dothan got a special delivery today.

State Senators Jimmy Holley and Harri Anne Smith presented Community Service Grants to six schools in Dothan.

Holley gave $2,000 each to Faine, Grandview, and Landmark Elementary Schools.

He also awarded money to Montana Magnet and Northview High.

Leaders say the money is going toward playground equipment for disabled children and into a general education fund.

Senator Smith presented $21,000 to Beverlye Middle School for a running track.

A student at Beverlye Middle School, J.T. Black says, "We're real excited that the team next year will be able to have a little bit more, and I know my younger brother is looking forward to using it next year."

Senator Jimmy Holley says, "We're pleased to be able to come down to Dothan today and bring these checks for education, and it's a pleasure always to do that."

The money comes from the State Education Trust Fund.

Most of the schools will use it to upgrade their recreational facilities.
