MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Partners in Education is more than $13,000 dollars richer. The Montgomery Capital Rotary Club handed over the check on Thursday after raising the money during its annual golf tournament.
Partners in Education provides tutoring and mentoring to Montgomery County public school students. A spokesman for the program says the money couldn't come at a better time due to the economy.
The club had plans of raising $20,000 for Partners in Education, but fell short due to the recession.
