Wetumpka, Ala. (WSFA) -- The State Fire Marshal's office is investigating the cause of a fatal house fire in Wetumpka.
According to Wetumpka fire officials, the small fire happened just after 6:00 a.m. at a house on
Queen Anne Road.
First responders were able to put out the fire quickly and rescue a 53 year old man.
He was then transferred to a birmingham hospital and later died as a result of his injuries.
Officials are not releasing his name at this time.
No one else was injured.
