Auburn police search for assault suspect

AUBURN, AL (WSFA) - Auburn police are looking for a man wanted in connection with an early Monday morning assault.

Police responded to a residence in the 2000 block of South College Street where they found a 22-year-old Tuskegee man who had been shot.

He was suffering injuries to his hand, jaw and shoulder.

The victim was airlifted to Columbus Regional Medical Center where he was treated for his injuries and is listed in stable condition.

Police are looking for the suspect who has been identified as Jesse Wayne Skipper, II, age 28, of Tallassee, Alabama.

Skipper should be considered armed and dangerous.
