CSX holds railroad disaster training for law enforcement

Montgomery, Ala. (WSFA) -- Officers in the river region trained Wednesday to be better prepared to deal with a railroad disaster.

CSX officials are in Montgomery training Montgomery and Prattville police and DOT officials. The purpose is to make sure they all know what to do if a train were to crash in our area.

"That they don't get hurt is the main thing and secondly they'll know who to look for and what to look for when they get to the collision scene," said CSX safety supervisor Bob Martin.

CSX will hold a session in August for firefighters and other emergency responders.
