Covering Autauga County: Big day for Prattville

Prattville, Ala. (WSFA) -- Prattville's new airport terminal is officially open.  Dozens of people were at the Grouby Field Airport for the ceremony including Larry Puckett, the chairman of the Prattville Airport Authority.

State Senator Wendell Mitchell presented a $100,000 dollar check to the city of Prattville for airport improvements.

Officials also honored Ed Grouby with a portrait and framed newspaper article about the development of Prattville-Grouby Field Airport.

The total cost of the terminal building was $550,000.  The city of Prattville paid $300,000 and the Alabama Department of Transportation paid the remainder.
