Homicide investigation underway

Montgomery, Ala. (WSFA)-- A disturbing find Saturday morning, leads to Montgomery's latest death investigation.

Around 8:30 a.m. police received calls that a person was laying face down in the middle of South Bainbridge Street. When officers arrived they found 42 year old Cytrus Rudolph stabbed in the chest.

Investigators say Rudolph and another man Jeff Benson were arguing.  The two eventually started fighting and during that fight is when police say Rudolph was stabbed in the chest.

Investigators say the case appears to be self defense and are not filling any charges against Benson.

Authorities will present this case to a grand jury as a death investigation.
