Two arrested in burglary ring

PRATTVILLE, AL (WSFA) - Two men are in custody charged in connection with a string of Prattville burglaries. Edwin Wells, Jr. and Eric Zeigler,Jr., both 18 of Prattville, were arrested by the Autauga County Sheriff's Department.

The Autauga County Sheriff's Office says the suspects were caught breaking into a car at about 3am Wednesday. After the suspects ran several dog teams from the prison system were brought in to help search for them. Each was captured by 10am.

Authorities say other arrests are pending in the ongoing investigation.

There have been numerous burglaries in the past month in the Prattville area, mostly of cars.

The Autauga County Sheriff's Office says the suspects were caught breaking into a car at about 3am Wednesday.

Both Wells and Zeigler are being held on $112,000 bond in the Autauga County Jail.
