ONEONTA, AL (WSFA) - Jeremy Sherer, an attorney with Birmingham based law firm, Whatley Drake & Kallas, has announced his candidacy for state treasurer.
Sherer stated that his mission as treasurer will be "to restore trust and integrity within the Treasurer's office." Sherer also added that his first priority as state treasurer will be to bring a quick resolution to Alabama's Prepaid College Tuition fiasco.
Prior to joining Whatley Drake & Kallas, Sherer served as the District Policy Advisor and District Communication Director to Congressman Artur Davis. Sherer is currently active with Alabama Citizens' for Constitutional Reform, and serves on Governor Bob Riley's Blackbelt Action Commission.
