New Prattville sales tax revenues released

PRATTVILLE, AL (WSFA) - The city of Prattville has released its latest sales tax collections figures for the month of May.

The mayor tells WSFA 12 News $1,098,432.05 in sales taxes were collected in May 2009.  This represents a 1.76% increase over May 2008 collections of $1,079,429.24.  Mayor Jim Byard says including the May numbers, the city's year to date collections are up 3.46%.  Mayor Byard says he is "very pleased with these numbers."
