Montgomery airport recommends salary cuts

Montgomery, Ala. (WSFA) -- Montgomery Regional Airport is facing a $90,000 deficit.  As a result, the airport's finance committee is recommending a 2% salary cut for all 46 employees.

If approved by the airport authority next Tuesday, it would mean a savings of almost $200,000 a year.

Employees may also be asked to pay a larger share of health insurance premiums.  Also, overtime will be cut in half and free coffee for employees terminated.
