WASHINGTON (AP) - Manny Acta is out as manager of the Washington Nationals. Acting general manager Mike Rizzo made the announcement this morning and said that bench coach Jim Riggleman is taking over on an interim basis.

ST. LOUIS (AP) - The starting pitchers for tomorrow night's All-Star game have been announced. Getting the ball from National League manager Charlie Manuel is San Francisco's Tim Lincecum (LINZ'-ih-kuhm), while Toronto's Roy Halladay is getting the start for A.L. manager Joe Maddon.

ST. LOUIS (AP) - The home run derby takes center stage in St. Louis tonight as the baseball world gets ready for tomorrow night's All-Star game. The biggest of the names involved is hometown star Albert Pujols (POO'-hohlz), who tops all of baseball with 32 home runs.

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - The New Jersey Devils have a not so new head coach. Jacques Lemaire (zhahk leh-MEHR') is back with the club after serving in the same capacity with Minnesota. Lemaire first served as the Devils coach between 1993 and 1998. He led them to the Stanley Cup in 1995.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) - The LPGA has a new commissioner. Carolyn Bivens has been replaced by Marsha Evans. Bivens came under fire from some of the tour's players recently. Evans is a former Naval officer who served on the LPGA commissioner's advisory council in 2007 and 2008.
