MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Victims are now being identified and a suspect is in custody after Friday's double-murder on Montgomery's west side.

Sisters Valentia Henderson, 29, and Lasandra Henderson, 27, were gunned down in the middle of Sandy Street. Their brother, 31-year-old Jermaine Henderson, is fighting for his life at Baptist South Hospital. He's listed in critical condition at this time.

Neighbors say the community right off the Mobile Highway is relatively quiet, until today.

Investigators arrested 30-year-old Charlie Perdue, and charged him with two counts of capital murder and one count of attempted murder. Units found him during a traffic stop on Lower Wetumpka Road.

Perdue was Valentia's boyfriend, but police say he had a prior Domestic Violence case from 2003 in which she was the listed victim. She never followed up on the charges against him, however.

Investigators say she had recently broken up with the man, and Friday's killings appeared to have stemmed from that split.

Perdue is being held on no bond at the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
