CRENSHAW CO. (WSFA) - Officials recaptured an escpaed inmate who stayed on the run for most of Friday.

Authorities found 28-year-old Jeremy Baggett at the intersection of Davis Pond Road and Ballard Road.

State troopers assisted the Crenshaw County Sheriff's Department with the search even putting a helicopter in the air to search for him from overhead.

Baggett was in jail on domestic violence, burglary and criminal mischief charges. Now that he's been recaptured he'll have felon escape charges added to his rapsheet.

The Crenshaw County sheriff said the man's escape is going to prompt some fast changes to the system, including re-enforcement for the jail's fence.
