Volunteers needed for Navistar LPGA Classic

PRATTVILLE, AL. (WSFA) -- One of the biggest events in the River Region is the Navistar LPGA Classic, and the tournament is already asking for volunteers.

Some of the most popular women in golf will soon be at the Robert Trent Jones course "Capitol Hill" in Prattville.

The tournament is set for September 28th through October 4th. Thousands of people are expected in town for the huge event and more than 600 volunteers are needed to insure things run smoothly.

"We're down a little bit compared to last year, about 70 volunteers tomorrow. We're looking for organizations, churches, schools anybody that can help out," said Mike Beverly with Robert Trent Jones.

There are $30.00 and $60.00 dollar packages for the volunteers. The $60.00 package includes a round of golf.
