KOWALIGA, AL (WSFA) - There's no doubt boaters and music fans had a blast during last weekend's Aquapalooza on Lake Martin, but Marine Police didn't have time to enjoy the day.

They stayed busy policing more than 35,000 fans and more than 4,000 boats.

During the event there were a total of 33 arrests made, and each involved alcohol.

Ten arrests were from boaters driving under the influence, 20 were from minors with alcohol and the other three came from public intoxication.

Marine Police handed out around 100 citations, 128 warnings and even managed to work a boating accident, though there were no reported injuries.
