PRATTVILLE, AL (WSFA) - A local agency is feeling the money crunch and is asking for the public's help to get through the month.

Grace Place Pregnancy Center in Prattville helps hundreds of pregnant women in need of support every year, but the free service now hangs in the balance.

Just like many non-profit agencies, donations are down for Grace Place and the need for services is way up.

In the past year the center has more than doubled it's attendance of prenatal and parenting classes. Along with prenatal and parenting classes the organization provides a number of other free and confidential services like alternatives to abortions and ultra sounds.

The center has also seen an explosion of requests for used baby clothing.

The clock is ticking for Grace Place, however. It needs more than $3,000 by the end of the month in order to continue offering those free services. Funding goes to cover the cost of payroll, rent and supplies.

The center says folks who would like to help can make a donation by calling (334) 365-8266. You can also go online to
