New Details on What's Happening at old Montgomery Mall

Montgomery, AL (WSFA) - WSFA 12 News is learning more about the future of Montgomery Commons, formerly known as Montgomery Mall.

Abandoned for years, work is now underway to get it back to a bustling building. The mall's new owner, Blue Ridge Capital in Atlanta is working right now to clean up and spruce it up. The mayor tells WSFA 12 News, within the next 30 days, they should have contracts signed with several tenants that have expressed interest in locating there. According to the mayor, that includes medical and government services.

Blue Ridge Capital is also working with a focus group to see what they are going to rename it.
