MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - There are two new animals with a strange name at the Montgomery Zoo.

Two bonteboks, pronounced (bon-tee-boxs), arrived as part of the zoo's latest addition this week.

Bonteboks are a type of antelope and are normally found in South Africa.

The creatures came to Montgomery from the Wildlife Safari in Oregon and are considered endangered animals.

The zoo's additions aren't limited to four-legged creatures. A new bird exhibit filled with tucans  also recently opened.

If you would like more information on these animals or any others call the zoo at 240-4900.
