MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - A Montgomery student has been diagnosed with the H1N1 virus. A staff member of Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School confirms that a student there has tested positive for having the H1N1 virus.

We're told this will not impact the start of the school year however.

The mother of the student contacted WSFA 12 News and says that her child is at home fever free now and is expected to make a full recovery.

Since school is about to start for most districts on Monday morning, state health officials say this is a good opportunity to remind your kids about proper hygiene.
