Hoboken, New Jersey (AP) -  Federal officials say divers have suspended their search of the Hudson River for bodies and debris in the midair collision that killed nine.

National Transportation Safety Board Spokesman Keith Holloway says recovery operations were halted at about 6 p.m. Sunday.

He says they will resume Monday morning.

Authorities say seven of the nine victims have been recovered, along with wreckage from the Liberty Tours Helicopter that collided Saturday with a single engine plane.

That plane is expected to be the focal point of recovery efforts Monday.

The victims include three members of a Pennsylvania family in the private plane and five Italian tourists and a helicopter pilot from New Jersey.

It's the worst air disaster in the New York City area since November 2001.
