OZARK, Ala. (AP) - Authorities have uncovered a meth lab operating in a home across the street from the Dale County Jail.

Ozark Police Chief Tony Spivey said agents from a joint drug task force discovered the methamphetamine lab while investigating a theft case.

Spivey said one of the agents smelled the lab, and a search of the property revealed chemicals, bottles and other equipment believed to be used to make meth.

Police say two children - ages 10 and 15 - were also inside the home.
