MIAMI, FL (WSFA) - Suspended Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte Stallworth will miss entire 2009 football season without pay according to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.
Although Stallworth was already suspended indefinitely by the NFL, he was still under contract with the Browns and remained on the team's roster.
Stallworth pleaded guilty to DUI manslaughter in June following a drunk driving incident that killed a man in Miami. Stallworth served 24 days of a 30-day jail sentence and was also sentenced to two years' home confinement. However, a judge ruled that he could leave home confinement to train with a strength and conditioning coach.
Stallworth will be allowed to file for reinstatement into the NFL sometime in February.
