Auburn's backup RBs size up differently

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Onterio McCalebb and Eric Smith bring different styles to Auburn's backfield.

McCalebb is a speedy 164-pound freshman while the sophomore Smith weighs a fullback-sized 232 pounds and is more of a bruiser. Both are 5-foot-10 and battling to back up Auburn tailback Ben Tate.

McCalebb's teammates say he is likely the Tigers' fastest offensive player and rivals cornerback Walt McFadden for fastest overall.

Freshman Dontae Aycock and H-back Mario Fannin are also vying for carries.

Smith started one game last season. Most of his 83 yards came in his first college game against Louisiana-Monroe.
