Alabama ACT results come in

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Results for the state of Alabama's ACT results are in for the 2008-2009 school year.

There's good news and not so good news to report.

More than 76 percent of Alabama students take the test making it one of the highest percentages in the nation.

The rest of the rankings are at the bottom, however.

Compared to the national average of 21.1, Alabama students come in nearly a full point lower at 20.3.

The national high was in Massachusetts where students average nearly 24 points.

The national low was in Mississippi where the average is below 19.
