MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - At St. James Elementary School in Montgomery they have all the latest high tech tools, including the smart board. But they also have teachers that provide good old fashioned TLC. Sabrina Hubbard loves her job and she's this week's Class Act. "I love it, you see so much growth both physically and academically, and you never know what you'll see," Hubbard said.
The parent who nominated Mrs. Hubbard for this award says she really takes the time to help each child and bring out the best in them. Mrs. Hubbard has her own way of connecting with the students. "A lot of hands on learning. It can be easy to lose focus when you're sitting around so that's what we do."
So what makes the perfect day? "Everyone leaves happy and is excited to come back." And from the looks of her classroom, these kids can't wait to come back everyday.
