MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - The president of the Alabama Public Service Commission, Lucy Baxley, has returned to work for the first time since breaking her left femur in a fall July 7.
Baxley attended the PSC's monthly meeting Tuesday.
She said she's been working from home while going through physical therapy. She said she will be going to her PSC office when needed, but she's not ready to return to a full work schedule yet.
Baxley attended the PSC meeting in a wheelchair. She suffered a stroke in November 2007 that left her using a cane to walk. She said she is practicing standing and putting pressure on her left foot, but it is painful.
