'Bama players with flu getting quarantined

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Alabama coaches are taking precautions to keep the flu from spreading around the team.

Coach Nick Saban said nose guard Terrence Cody has missed the last two days and "four or five guys" have been sidelined with the flu or flulike symptoms. He said players with the flu have been quarantined by themselves in dorm rooms to avoid getting others sick.

Most of the ailing players have been able to come back to the field in about three days, according to Saban. The training staff has passed out hand wipes and sanitizers.

Saban said he's hoping the flu does not become an issue for college football or sports in general this fall.

In football news, he identified the likely starters on the offensive line. From left to right, those are James Carpenter, Mike Johnson, William Vlacchos, Barrett Jones and Drew Davis.
