"If you quit on school, you're not just quitting on yourself, you're quitting on your country."

Those were the words of our President to schoolchildren nationwide.

A new wrinkle to the stay in school and personal responsibility pleas we have been pushing.

The reality is the best economic stimulus is a high school diploma.

Not getting one costs our nation billions of dollars each year.

The President also said circumstances in your life should not be used as an excuse for dropping out of school.

He said "There is no excuse for not trying...don't let yourself down."

And don't let the rest of us down because we will have to support you with tax money that could be better spent.

Eight of every 10 inmates in Alabama prisons are dropouts.

If you are a high school senior now, you have about 150 school days left to graduate.

Just do it.

The alternative is a lifetime of regret.
