BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Florida quarterback Tim Tebow was named SEC offensive player of the week.
The league also named LSU defensive end Rahim Alem defensive player of the week on Monday while Georgia return man Brandon Boykin received special teams honors.
Tebow passed for 237 yards, ran for 71 yards and accounted for five touchdowns in a win over Troy.
Alem had seven tackles and a key fourth-quarter sack in a win over Vanderbilt.
Boykin had a 100-yard kick return in Georgia's victory over South Carolina. His 187 return yards was second-most in Bulldogs history.
Offensive lineman honors went to Georgia tackle Clint Boling, while Auburn end Antonio Coleman was defensive lineman of the week.
Alabama tailback Trent Richardson was the top freshman performer.
