AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Auburn's Kodi Burns appears to be flourishing in his new role.
The former quarterback turned Wildcat quarterback is coming off a four-touchdown game going into Saturday against West Virginia. He accounted for just 12 TDs rushing and passing in his first two seasons spanning 19 games and eight starts.
Burns scored three times on the ground and passed for a fourth touchdown in the Tigers' win over Mississippi State.
He has also lined up at wide receiver.
West Virginia coach Bill Stewart said his defense has to keep in mind that Burns is also a threat to throw the ball.
Burns even landed a key block to help Onterio McCalebb spring free for a touchdown against Mississippi State.
