TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Alabama coach Nick Saban can't remember any other times when one of his teams has allowed kick returns for touchdowns in back-to-back games.
The fourth-ranked Crimson Tide is working hard to fix problems that have allowed returns of 98 and 96 yards in the first two games.
Saban said coverage has been good at times but had some "serious breakdowns." He said the coaches put some new players on special teams last week.
He said at times the safeties on the returns have been out of position to stop the play for merely long returns instead of touchdowns.
Saban said correcting the issues is critical.
