MILLBROOK, AL (WSFA) - A lockdown placed on two Millbrook schools late Friday afternoon has been lifted. All students are reported ok.

Millbrook police initiated the lockdown at Stanhope Elmore High School and Millbrook Junior High School around 2:00pm after school officials called to report an altercation between two students, one reportedly with a firearm.

According to Millbrook Police Chief P.K. Johnson the "suspect" left campus after the altercation. Investigators located him a short time later and determined he did not have a gun.

A follow-up investigation with the student is said to be underway.

Stanhope Elmore's parade for today has been canceled.
