Roberts nominated for AU Board of Trustees

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Mobile businessman Ben Tom "B.T." Roberts of Mobile has been nominated to serve on the Auburn University Board of Trustees.

The Auburn Trustees Selection Committee nominated Roberts to complete the term of the late trustee Jack Miller. Roberts will represent a south Alabama district that includes Choctaw, Clarke, Marengo, Mobile, Monroe, Washington and Wilcox Counties.

The selection committee includes Gov. Bob Riley, two Auburn trustees and two members of the board of the Auburn Alumni Association.

Roberts is president of Roberts Brothers Commercial and Property Management Inc. in Mobile. He graduated from Auburn in 1972 with a degree in industrial management.

Roberts nomination must be confirmed by the Alabama Senate.
