MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - On Tuesday Jefferson County commissioners passed an $808 million budget for 2010.
That's $28 million less than this years budget.
However, the cut comes with good news.
It will enable the county to recall workers by October 10th.
Almost every county department and agency is taking a cut.
Officials say the budget will get the county back to normal in a few weeks.
At this time, more than 700 county workers will be recalled for a 32 hour work week.
